Mu1 Performing
Performing is a
process, which includes demonstrating certain performance criteria.
Those performance criteria are:
- Correct notes/intonation
- Maintaining
a steady beat
- Correct rhythms
- Using proper
sound production techniques
- Using appropriate
stylistic devices/conventions
- Incorporating
a varied repertoire
Evidence of a warranted
interpretation of written music can be heard through the students’
accuracy in these criteria and the application of expressive elements.
Performances can take place in a group or alone and can either be a
prepared piece or sight-reading. Teamwork for preparation and post-performance
work (i.e. logistical needs, equipment, showing up on time, performance
attire, etc.) is also needed.
Mu1a The
